Oblique Imaging
Oblique is the technical term to describe an aerial phototograph that is taken at an angle and then viewable from software at your desktop.

What's the advantage in this? The capturing of angles allows you to see an image almost as if you were there in person, seeing the object or objects in their entirety. Plus, unlike traditional aerial photography, the objects can be geo-referenced down to the pixel.

For instance, you can now see building or land attributes that can be critical in the planning or restoration phases of various projects at a level of detail not previously available.

Lastly, oblique software is compatible as an overlay to GIS, and since its as close as you can get to actually being there, you needn't have advanced photo-interpretation skills to quickly understand and capture the information you need.
