Aerial Cartographics of America (ACA), Orlando Florida selected for Digital Mapping products for the Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport
ACA will be providing new airport mapping products including color ortho imagery, an updated Airport Layout Plan (ALP) & Obstruction Survey, planimetric updates for the airport and surrounding areas, low altitude Helicopter LAMP mapping of critical road connectors and an overall FAA-GIS Standards data conversion. All of these products will be used in support of the future expansion of an 8,000-foot air carrier runway on the south side of the airport, as well as modifications to roads and bridges in the area. The complex airport project will span an active federal highway and railroad; the runway tunnel and taxiway bridges and require large amounts of fill.
