Engineers need extensive amounts of survey data in or to design. LAMP has proven to be the best choice over other methods.
In 1997, ACA introduced to the Florida Department of Transportation (DOT), a safer and much more accurate alternative when compared to conventional survey.
Word quickly spread regarding LAMP as a superior alternative, and it is now being used by an expanding number of states, including Georgia, Alabama, plus South and North Carolina.
Today, ACA has mapped more than 1000 miles of highway in Florida and Georgia. Other states are beginning to catch on to the advantages of LAMP, and while best suited to the transportation industry, LAMP is also used for mapping other types of projects such as airport taxiways and runways.
